ATLAS DAQ/HLT-I Software release tdaq-common-01-03-00 download page

NB: This is a 'COMMON' DAQ/HLT-I s/w release. It contains only packages commonly used by ATLAS DAQ/HLT-I, HLT-S and Offline SW projects. Use this link to access all DAQ/HLT-I s/w releases.

Release installation

First of all make sure that your system is supported by the T/DAQ (see requirements section below).

IMPORTANT NOTE: starting trom this release, tdaq-common uses some external libraries, provided by LCG AA projects. This means that one need to install corresponding versions of LCG s/w, before installing tdaq-common release.
External dependencies:

 external package & version
 how to install
Boost 1.32.0_python24
 installed with COOL_1_2_8

1. If you have no local installtion of LCG AA s/w, create necessary directory structure and install COOL_1_2_8 package using LCG installation manager script. This will install all other s/w, needed by COOL and tdaq-common. The durectory structure may look like following

<atlas_sw_root>/
/lcg
/tdaq
/tdaq-common-01-03-00
/tdaq-01-06-00
/offline
/hlt

This structure can be used to install main tdaq releases, ATLAS offline and HLT releases wich share the same tdaq-common and LCG projects.

If you have LCG s/w of required versions already installed (e.g. on afs), you can use path to existing installtion in the next step.

2. download install.sh script and run it in this directory (you may need to set executable permission on the script):

> mkdir -p /usr/local/atlas-sw/tdaq/
> cd /usr/local/atlas-sw/tdaq/tdaq-common-01-03-00
> wget http://atddoc.cern.ch/cmt/releases/download/tdaq-common-01-03-00/install.sh

> chmod +x install.sh
> ./install.sh -l <lcg_root> [-c CMTCONFIG]+

<lcg_root> is the path where you just installed LCG s/w, and CMTCONFIG a platform you want to install in addition to the default one (repeatative parameter), see table below.

This option requies active tcp/ip connection and wget utility.
If you have no direct http connection, do the same steps as above, but along with install.sh script download all required tar-balls manually to the same directory. See the next section to understand what you need.
